The NASCAR Cup Series is visiting Texas Motor Speedway for the first time during the 2020 season for Sunday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 (3 p.m. ET, NBCSN), and Aric Almirola will start on the pole.

Similar to previous Cup Series events, there was no qualifying for the 334-lap, 501-mile race. So the starting lineup was determined with grouped random draws based on where teams ranked in the owner standings going into the weekend.

The top-12 teams in the owner standings were part of one draw, with Ryan Blaney joining Almirola on the front row, followed by the Busch brothers and Kevin Harvick to round out the top five. The remaining groups for the random draw were positions 13 through 24 and 25 through 36, while positions 37 through 40 were ordered by owner points with no draw.

UPDATE: Chase Elliott in the No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet and Reed Sorenson in the No. 7 Tommy Baldwin Racing Chevrolet will start from the back of the field after failing pre-race inspection twice.
